I want to view my past filing history....

I was wondering if there was a site wher e I could access and view all of my past filing history. Ie: see exactly what I claimed in previous years as far as dependents go.. etc. Is there anywhere I can go to access this information. Getting a headache circling throught the IRS site. Any suggestions?

I don't know how it works in the US, but in Canada they are very secretive with tax data and would never let you see info like that online.

Before Revenue Canada will even speak to you on the phone, they verify information that you would only know by looking at your return for last year.

I would suspect that you will be unable to find the info you want on the IRS site.

I know people who have applied for unemployment and their history comes up on their systems. Maybe the unemployment office is the way... But I'd recommend keeping records in a safe place too!!

Actually, once you have gone through the (ridiculous) authentication process with Canada Revenue, you can see past assesments and other info on their (hideous) website.

I think it forces you to use Internet Explorer and install some glacially slow encryption software.
