My name is Aaron Wade.  I currently live in Grapevine, TX.  Here, I am pursuing my goal in becoming a music video/ film director.  My knowledge on this industry is very small.  I have been doing a little editing w/ still pictures, but really haven’t had the chance to get out and film.  The reason for that is b/c, I have no dv camera.  I was wondering if you could give me any advice on this industry or any contacts available.  Thanks for taking the time out to read this.

I have to say at the rate that you are going you are not going to get very far. Firstly, you have to get out of grapevine. If you can't afford or get your hands on some rental equipment then you are never going to learn anything. So hook up with a local college's film program. Student and indie films are always looking for extra help. It doesn't matter that you don't know anything. It just means you will probably just be lugging boxes and fetching shit they need. But you'll learn that way. You gotta do something. Get on a set. Check local indie papers and call everyproduction house within your travelling range. Generally if you offer your services for free they'll let you help out. In return you'll learn how it goes and make the contacts you need to go somewhere with it.
