It is truely difficult to gauge where the work is. Commercials are down here - in terms of Nationals but local and regionals seem to be steady. Corporate has also been down but seems to be picking up as well.

You talk with people and they are not getting enough days to make what they wish to or need to make. I find many people are looking for a sideline. Something they can do and maintain their presence in the industry.

I have spoken to those who own houses for resale, a lot of salespeople, sub teachers,
still photographers, driver ed instructors and construction inspectors.

This business is wackier than ever I can recall. Budgets wildly slashed and mark up virtually gone....

Sounds like Toronto. Maybe all your commercial producers will get together and form an illegal cartel to keep rates low and screw you out of even more.
